Loire Valley (Val de Loire)

The Loire Valley is the area located in the middle stretch of the Loire River, in both the regions Pays de la Loire and Centre-Val de Loire. Comprising about 800 km2 this is the biggest area in France ever to be included in UNESCO’s world heritage list in 2000.
