Great Wines & Meaningful Experiences Curated by a French Wine Ambassador
France is one of the world’s great wine countries – and one of its most rewarding travel destinations. But the France that most visitors experience and the France that’s actually worth the journey are two very different things.
Knowing which wine regions and appellations deserve your time, which producers offer something genuinely memorable, and how to experience it all at the right pace requires the kind of local knowledge that simply can’t be found online.
And that’s exactly what I offer.

What I Offer
A bespoke travel consultation for discerning independent travelers who are planning a meaningful wine trip to France – and can’t afford to invest significant time and money in a journey that falls short of what they imagined.
A great wine journey is never rushed. I don’t design itineraries that try to cover four tastings in a day. While wine remains the centerpiece of the experience, I favor thoughtful tasting schedules over marathon-tasting days, with time for immersive vineyard walks, linger in a cellar, return to a village you loved, and open a second bottle because the conversation warrants it.
Built on local knowledge, honest advice, and expert curation, so you arrive in France with a plan you trust and the full independence to enjoy it your way.
My planning philosophy is simple: quality over quantity, depth over checklists, connection over collection.
Here’s what that means in practice:
Expert curation
I find the regions and producers whose wines you’ll actually love, not just the ones everyone visits – and build the right experiences around your specific interests and travel style.
Local knowledge
I live in France, travel its wine regions throughout the year, and know which producers welcome independent visitors warmly, which emerging appellations are worth discovering before the crowds arrive, and which famous names are better left to the label.
Honest advice
I’ll tell you when a celebrated estate has become too commercial for what you’re looking for, and point you toward the family domaine down the road that opens something extraordinary for visitors who clearly know what they’re looking at.
Full independence
I don’t book anything for you, and that’s by design. You drive, you decide, you travel at your own pace. My job is to make sure every choice you make is an informed one.

Is This You?
“I want a wine-centered trip to France that feels elevated, authentic, and genuinely French – not another tourist circuit.”
You’ve traveled before. You appreciate good wine and good food, and you know the difference between a memorable experience and a polished but forgettable one.
Sure, you want to discover the wine regions, the producers, and the cellar experiences that are just right for you. But you’re also looking for meaningful experiences in France through its wine culture: the landscapes, the stories, the people behind the bottles, and the art of sitting down to a long, unhurried meal with the right glass in hand.
You want to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and leave feeling different – maybe more relaxed – than when you arrived.
But planning this kind of trip takes more than enthusiasm. You’re navigating:
- Famous wine regions that produce celebrated wines – just not the styles or grape varieties that speak to you
- Websites in French and clunky translations (or no translations at all)
- Outdated forums, generic travel blogs, and conflicting AI recommendations
- Tourist-heavy experiences that feel impressive on paper but disappointing in person
- The very real risk of investing significant time and money in a trip that doesn’t quite deliver
“I want to travel well – without the planning becoming a second job.”
Your time is valuable. You want the confidence that you’re visiting the right places, at the right pace, with time to linger – and the reassurance that someone who truly knows France has thought it through for you.

About Elisa
Bonjour! I’m Elisa, a French Wine Ambassador based in Paris.
I hold the French Wine Ambassador designation from the École des Vins et Spiritueux in Paris, the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines, and am currently enrolled in the Bourgogne Masters program by Wine Scholar Guild. This is the kind of formal wine training that most travel consultants simply don’t have. When I recommend an appellation, a domaine, or a specific cellar experience, I’m drawing on genuine expertise – not a list I assembled from other travel sites.

I travel every French wine region throughout the year – not as a tourist passing through, but as a French local who understands the full picture: which producers are doing extraordinary work, which regions are emerging and worth visiting before they become well-known, and which celebrated estates have become more about the brand than the wine. Follow me on Instagram @uncorkedfrance where I share about the places, wines, and experiences that inspire my work.
Through my France travel websites – France Bucket List and World in Paris, read by hundreds of thousands of travelers annually – I’ve helped countless visitors plan meaningful trips to France. Wine has always been at the heart of the best journeys I’ve designed. Uncorked France is where that expertise lives.
Want to get to know me a little better?
I have a background in architecture. Before travel blogging became my main job, I was working as a lead planning engineer, so I can offer a unique set of creative, planning, and problem-solving skills I’m sure you’ll appreciate for your trip planning.
I was recently a guest on the podcast episode A Wine Lover’s guide to Planning a Trip to France by Global Travel Planning where I shared my approach to wine travel, what makes France such a fascinating destination for wine lovers, and how to make the most of your time here.
All the pictures on this page were taken by me and cover different wine regions throughout France.
What Clients Say
While Uncorked France is newly launched, this feedback comes from clients who’ve experienced my personalized travel consultations for Paris and France – the same thoughtful approach now tailored to wine journeys. You can read more glowing reviews here.
“My wife and I recently used the France with Ease consultation with Elisa. It was time well spent. She alerted us to a number of activities, restaurants and sites that we hadn’t considered and it will definitely enhance our time in France. She also pointed out a possible change in our itinerary that might make more sense. After examining the transportation options we saw that it did. Our consultation was absolutely worth the cost. Even though we have been to France several times it was a very valuable 1-1/2 hours spent and we will certainly return to Elisa the next time we are planning to visit.” – Verified client.
“I retained Elisa to help me initiate planning for a trip to France. Her advice was exceptional. Her recommendation of a tour guide for a trip to Vimy Ridge, Beaumont Hamel and to follow in the footsteps of my great uncle in the Battle of the Somme gave us a day that will last a lifetime. Her service is exceptional and well worth the money. In particular, she saved me hours of figuring things out and ensured I wasn’t planning one thing in the north and the second thing in the south. Our trip was well organized and flexible. I highly recommend this travel consulting service and I would retain Elisa again if I was planning a trip in another area of France.” – Verified client
Uncorked France Travel Planning Service

Every journey I design follows the same process:
1. We talk
A 1-hour video call where I learn everything that matters: your wine knowledge and preferences, the regions that interest you, the pace you travel at, what you’ve loved on previous wine trips, and what you want this journey to feel like. This conversation is the foundation of everything that follows.
2. I curate
This is where my expertise does the work. I research, cross-reference, and select – building a journey around the producers worth visiting, the experiences that make you engage with a place, the properties to stay with genuine character, and the moments beyond the glass that make France memorable.
3. You receive your Grape Explorer Roadmap and Interactive Map
A complete planning document with everything you need to book and travel with confidence, your way. Plus, a personalized Google Map with every recommended location pinned and ready to use on your phone.
4. We refine
One-on-One 30-Minute Follow-Up Video Call. After reviewing your Grape Explorer’s Roadmap, we reconnect to refine anything that needs adjusting, answer questions, and ensure the plan feels exactly right before you finalize your bookings. Must be scheduled within 5 working days of receiving the Grape Explorer’s Roadmap.
You’ll receive the revised Roadmap and Interactive Map incorporating everything we discussed.
Plus, your Grape Explorer’s Wine Kit – a practical PDF reference guide covering the wine appellations you’ll visit, key grape varieties, and a curated list of iconic and notable producers for your wine shopping.
5. I support you through booking
Your trip is ready to book and I’ll guide you through the booking process and be there to answer any questions along the way.
6. A Taste of France awaits in Paris

7. Carefree Travel
Each day, you’ll receive a quick update with the next day’s activities, along with any important information that could affect your plans – from transport strikes and weather alerts to unexpected changes.
Is This Service Right For You?
Strategic planning, expert curation, insider tips, and support for an unforgettable, wine-centered trip to France. For trips of up to 10 days, up to 4 adults.
🚫 This Is Not Right for You If…
✗ You’re planning last-minute – this process takes time to do properly, and that’s intentional
✗ You’re traveling with young children or on a tight budget – this service is designed for adult travelers seeking depth and quality
✗ You’re looking for minute-by-minute daily schedules.
✗ You have significant mobility limitations – many wine experiences involve historic cellars, uneven vineyard terrain, and countryside settings
🎯 This Is Right for You If…
✓ You’re a wine lover who wants to experience a side of France most travelers never discover
✓ You travel independently – your own/rented car, your own pace, your own bookings
✓ You value depth over breadth: fewer places, experienced properly, without rushing
✓ You don’t want to waste time or money on places or experiences that don’t quite deliver
✓ You’re curious and open to discovering lesser-known appellations alongside the iconic ones, and you trust that sometimes the most memorable experiences are the ones nobody told you about
This isn’t another travel expense. It’s an investment worth making: the more deeply you engage with a place, the more meaningful your memories become.
